Unites States

The Sound of the Baskervilles—the Seattle-based scion society of The Baker Street Irregulars—will  hold its “The Anatomy of the World of Sherlock Holmes” conference during the first-ever world-wide Sherlock Holmes Week on Sunday,  August 5, 2012. Panel and round-table discussions will take place  beginning at 2:00 p.m. at T.S. McHugh’s Public House, 21 Mercer Street, Seattle. All who have an interest in Sherlock Holmes—whether  on film, in theater, in print or on television—are welcome to  attend and contribute.  Said David Haugen, President of the organization which has served the Greater Puget Sound Region of Western Washington, USA since March 31, 1980, “The Sound of the Baskervilles is proud to join the efforts of Sherlock Holmes Week in celebrating our heroes—the dynamic duo of Sherlock Holmes & John Watson—around the globe.”

Planned discussion topics include:
• The Best and the Worst Actors to portray Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
• The Best and the Worst Original Doyle-authored  Sherlock Holmes Stories.
• How You First Discovered Sherlock Holmes.
• The BBC’s Production of the TV Show “Sherlock”.
• And many other Sherlockian topics.

There is no cost for attending this special event.  However, food and drink service will be available during the event—on a “no-host” basis.  Bring a friend, bring your family, and join in the discussions or just observe and deduce!
